PhotoSpace

PhotoSpace

See where the space in your Photos library goes – and get it back, safely.

Mac · iPhone · iPad · one purchase for all of them

See your numbers for free

PhotoSpace reads your library in a few minutes and shows, in plain numbers, what takes the space and how much you could gain:

  • Exact duplicates, similar photos and burst frames
  • Large videos – and how much compressing them would save
  • Old screenshots, slow-motion videos, Live Photo video parts and edits

Clean up in one click

  • Remove duplicate copies – the best one stays: favorite, highest resolution, your edits
  • Remove unpicked burst frames and screenshots older than 30 days
  • Everything goes to Recently Deleted, with Photos’ own confirmation – 30 days to change your mind

Shrink big videos

  • 4K videos become 1080p HEVC copies, often 70–85% smaller
  • The copy keeps the capture date, place, favorite and albums
  • Play every compressed copy in PhotoSpace before you empty Recently Deleted
  • Works in batches and checks the free space, so your device never fills up

How it works

1. Scan

Allow access to Photos and scan. PhotoSpace reads the sizes from the library itself; it does not download your originals.

2. Review

Every page explains what it found and what it suggests. Sort, search by file name or date, and play videos.

3. Free up

Remove or compress in one click. When you are happy, empty Recently Deleted in Photos to get the space back.

Pricing

  • Free: scanning, every list, similar photos, playing videos – plus one cleanup of up to 20 items and one video compression to try it
  • PhotoSpace Pro: one-time purchase, unlocks deleting and compressing without limits on Mac, iPhone and iPad. No subscription.

Good to know

  • With iCloud Photos on, what you remove on one device is removed on all of them – that is how iCloud Photos works.
  • The space comes back when Recently Deleted is emptied in Photos (or after 30 days).
  • Requires macOS 14, iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later.
