DevSpace
Xcode, simulators and package managers quietly fill your Mac. DevSpace shows where the gigabytes went – and what is safe to remove.
Mac
What it finds
- Xcode DerivedData, archives and Device Support folders – DerivedData of deleted projects is marked as orphaned
- Simulator devices and caches, shown with their iOS version
- Global caches of npm, Yarn, pnpm, Bun, Homebrew, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Gradle, Maven, Cargo, Go and Composer
- node_modules, Rust target, Gradle and Maven build, SwiftPM .build and Pods folders inside your projects
- Projects you have not touched for months, so you can start with the safest space
Safe by design
- Every item is labelled: Safe (recreated automatically), Rebuild needed or Review first.
- Archives and simulators are never selected for you.
- You choose which folders DevSpace may look at – macOS asks you first.
- Nothing is erased for good: what you remove goes to the Trash.
- Nothing leaves your Mac: no account, no server, no tracking.
