BackupSpace – Privacy Policy

BackupSpace is made by György Jankovics (“we”), publisher of The Space App Suite.

What the app accesses

BackupSpace reads the folder where Finder keeps your iPhone and iPad backups, with your permission. It reads only each backup’s index files (device name, model, iOS version, date of the last backup, whether it is encrypted) and the size of each backup. It never opens the backed-up content.

When you ask it to, it moves the backups you select to the Trash. It never empties the Trash.

What we collect

Nothing. BackupSpace has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Your files and the results of the scan never leave your device. Settings are stored only on your device, in the app’s own storage, and are removed when you delete the app.

Purchases

In the Mac App Store version, purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. If you buy the direct-download version, the payment provider named at checkout processes your payment and shares only what is needed to issue your licence.

Children

BackupSpace does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
